Eight years of work culminated yesterday with the launch of Letters to Cassie.
What was it like? Launch day is a unique blend of excitement and ordinary life. After eight years of writing, editing, and dreaming, the world finally met the story that has lived in my heart for so long. For me, the day began as all my days do—with some time spent with God. It’s the foundation that steadies me. Days without my quiet time with God are like days without sunshine.
But as extraordinary as the day was, much of it felt surprisingly normal. I wondered who might be receiving their books and imagined the moment they’d open the first page. I thought about all of you, wondering how your day was unfolding and whether Letters to Cassie had found its way into your hands.
I leaned into the everyday rhythms of life to stay grounded and not spend my time daydreaming. I updated my website, wrote letters, responded to emails, prepared meals for my family, went grocery shopping, and made lists of all the things I still need to do. Between all of that, I sent copies of Letters to Cassie to some of my incredible launch team members and beta readers.
Through it all, I kept thinking about you. What was your day like? Did you pick up a copy? Will you like it? It’s a mix of excitement and vulnerability, knowing the words that lived inside me for so long are now out in the world, ready to be read.
Launch day is a milestone to celebrate, but it’s also a moment to pause and reflect. Thank you to everyone who has supported me on this journey. Yesterday was just the beginning. The world has Letters to Cassie now, and I can’t wait to hear what you think.
