Welcome to My World

My life has revolved around ministry. First, I was born in Indonesia to missionary parents. After college, I became a missionary - in Mexico, Guatemala, and the Philippines. While in the Philippines, I was able to complete my Master of Christian Education degree. When I returned to the United States, I joined the staff of a large church in Minneapolis as their Minister for Childen's Discipleship. Seven years later, I joined the faculty of a Christian college in Canada.

Then, at the age of 43, I married the love of my life, a missionary to the Apaches in Arizona. He then became a pastor in Maine, and I took on the duties expected of a pastor's wife. After eleven years in a church we dearly loved, we sensed God's call to return to being missionaries. We joined International Partnership Ministries as consultants. Charlies became an educational consultant and I became a children's ministries consultant.

Over the years, I have always written. But about five years ago, I sensed God's direction to complete a dream of mine to write a book for Christian teen girls to encourage them in their growth in body, soul, and mind. In between my writing for the ministry, I began to write this book.

Some of what you will see on this blog will be about our international ministry. Some will be about my own life. But much will be about this book.
